The City’s The wastewater service area has approximately 9000 accounts with an estimated population of 45,000. An AWT facility produces an effluent that is lower in nutrients such as Nitrogen and Phosphorous. The City of Naples Wastewater treatment facility (WWTP) is a 10 Million Gallon per day Advanced Waste Treatment (AWT) Facility. The raw water main consists of 30 miles of main that range in size from 20 to 36 inches. The water distribution system consists of approximately 358 miles of water main that range in size from 2 to 30 inches, 4,900 valves, and 1,928 fire hydrants. The water service area extends beyond the corporate limits of the City serving approximately 18,000 water accounts and an estimated population of 62,000. The plant is manned 24/7 with a minimum of two operators per shift. The Water Treatment Plant is a 30 million gallon per day lime softening plant with filtration and disinfection.
